In regard to the African diaspora, it is appropriate to
continue the conversation of cause and effect, and locating God in the
suffering and misplacement of the people of Africa. This is a heavy task for
theological reflection, never the less it needs a continual conversation.
Secondly, the office of a prophet needs further theological reflection. The
text presents Jeremiah and some false prophetical voices. This has raised some
discussion among the group on how the exiled decided whom to listen. This is a
challenge for most of the African Christianity where there seems to be many
self-appointed prophets.
